Computer simulation using the finite element method can determine the magnetic forces with various boundary conditions. However, this is usually not convenient for industrial users. Based on the large database generated by using 3D computer simulation, Quadrant is working to ensure that the Maxwell magnetic force equation remains user friendly thus allowing simple calculations through the inputs of the magnet's Br, area and thickness.
